The Exophthalmometry is the measurement of the extent of protrusion of the eyeball, which is performed by means of a Hertel exophthalmometer. This measurement is important for addressing diseases such as thyroid ophthalmopathy, fracture of the orbital floor and retro-ocular and orbital tumors.
