We rely on the INFINITI Phacoemulsification tri-modal system to perform cataract Surgery, which is the equipment of preference in the United States. It provides an enhanced fluidic management in a surgical control system that allows the use of ultrasonic Ozil torsional, traditional NeoSonix ultrasound and AquaLase technology. In addition, its new graphic user interface and comprehensive ergonomics provide endless options for crystalline extraction surgeries (be it due to cataracts or refractive conditions) as implied by its name.
We rely on the world's most advanced system for surgery of the posterior segment of the eye: the CONSTELLATION VISION SYSTEM. The new system features a 5,000 cut-per-minute "ULTRAVIT® High Speed Vitrectomy Probes" which come in 20, 3 and 25 gauges. The CONSTELLATION VISION SYSTEM is the only vitrectomy method in the world that enables the surgeon to modify working cycles in order to control the flow of fluids, irrespective of dissection void and speed. Moreover, the equipment offers a compensation system for intraocular pressure control, which remains active and allows for more stable pressure levels thereby providing further stability and safety during surgical procedures.
With an aim to ensure the safety, expeditiousness and effectiveness of the corneal refractive surgeries performed at the institute we have acquired an Excimer Nidek EC-5000 XII laser system, which delivers all the features required for the modern treatment of numerous refractive disorders, such as: Myopia; Astigmatism and Hyperopia. This device has a radar eye tracking system to ensure the accurate centralization of the laser treatment in the cornea; a torsion error detector to provide easy alignment with the astigmatism axis we need to treat; innovative scanning technology, including Super Flex Scan and MultiPoint for optimized custom ablation of focusing defects-of both low and high vision, as well various laser software applications for Lasik or PRK.
