It’s a time to disconnect, spend time with family, travel, or simply rest. But to fully enjoy it, your visual health should also be in good condition.

☀️ Sun, sand, and protection
If you’ll be spending time in the sun these days, don’t forget to wear UV-protective sunglasses. Ultraviolet rays can damage important eye structures, such as the cornea and the lens, increasing the risk of cataracts or retinal diseases.

👁️ Don't neglect your eyes if you have pre-existing conditions
People with glaucoma, diabetes, or hypertension should take extra care while traveling. Keeping up with treatments and avoiding prolonged exposure to sun or extreme heat can make a big difference.

💧 Hydration applies to your eyes too
Heat, wind, and dry environments (like airplanes or air-conditioned rooms) can cause dry eyes. If you already suffer from dry eye or sensitivity, carry artificial tears with you.

📵 Give your eyes a break from screens
Take advantage of these days to reduce screen time. Prolonged exposure to electronic devices not only strains your eyes, but it can also affect your sleep quality.

🧳 Wearing lenses or taking eye medication? Don’t forget them.
If you use contact lenses, make sure to bring everything you need for their care. And if you take eye medications, pack them in advance to avoid interrupting your treatment while traveling.
